June 1st - 8th Acting Training Camp Auditions - LATTE Theater Come act your way through the summer in style! Our intense stage clinic/camp features full immersion in acting, strengthening stagecraft, the business of running a theater - all while creating a dynamic, college-level performance. The teen cast performs a full-length show open for our supportive community, family and friends. LATTE challenges veteran performers while giving a strong and fun primer to those who want to explore theater as a new avenue. LATTE bases its choice of a show on what highlights the strength, chemistry and cast talent through auditions. Our mission is to encourage teens growth on and off the stage. Auditions are after the La Grange Pet Parade on June 1st at 20 N Ashland, (Bell Avenue Entrance). Or by private appointment. Show Dates Friday, July 26th – Saturday, July 27th Heck Week July 19th – 25th Practices 11 – 2 or 12 – 3 Weekdays by cast choice. Vacations/commitments can be worked around as long as they are not in heck week. Show Choices: Anne of Green Gables - Green Gables is the home of lovable Matthew Cuthbert and his stern sister, Marilla. They agree to adopt a boy to help with the farm work. Imagine their consternation when Anne Shirley, a girl in her teens, is sent by the orphanage by mistake! See how one person can make a difference. The Porch Light - An original work by Chicago Playwright, Felicia Pfluger that chronicles 100 years (from the 1920s through the present) of the American life and family. Through powerful, hilarious and fun vignettes, we explore times of radical change in history, the context of cultural change, changes of the family unity, social awareness, wars... and our humanity. The Porch Light is on. It is time to come home.
