DESCRIPTION:Lively art experiences for all ages at the West End Arts Festival \n\n \n\nThe 26th annual West End Arts Festival returns to La Grange September 10-11\, 2022. It features the talents of over 60 fine artists from across the Midwest plus music performances\, artists-at-work\, live culinary demonstrations by local chefs and engaging activities for everyone in the family. \n\n \n\nNestled in front of the historic Stone Avenue train station\, the free festival has become a favorite of both artists and visitors and has helped define the eclectic West End as a must-see destination for both shopping and dining. The event will run from 10am - 5pm on Saturday and Sunday with artists' tents placed along expansive Burlington Avenue. \n\n \n\nJuried artists from across the country in a variety of mediums will display and sell their works including painting and photography\, glass and functional art\, fashion\, jewelry and sculpture. Visitors will be able to interact with artists through demonstrations and booth chats. \n\n \n\nIn addition\, a live art auction is featured in front of the train station (701 W. Burlington Avenue) on Saturday beginning at 5:00. Dozens of colorful rain barrels that have been designed by local artists and displayed in front of local businesses in an exhibit called "Earth Day Every Day" will be auctioned to benefit local charities. \n\n \nAlong a winding path near the train station\, local restaurants will sell their unique menu specialties\; wine and beer will also be sold. \n\n \n\nChildren can engage with interactive art activities and crafts throughout the weekend.\n\n \n THE ART OF FOOD TENT will feature live culinary demonstrations and samplings from the experts at popular area restaurants. THE ART OF MUSIC STAGE will feature live music throughout the weekend.\n\n \n The festival is made possible through the generosity of local businesses and local sponsors. Free parking is available in the nearby commuter lots. LOCATION:This free festival is held in the shadow of the landmark Stone Avenue METRA Station along Burlington Avenue between Brainard and Waiola Avenues. Convenient free parking is available in the commuter lot on Brainard at Burlington. Visitors may also take the Burlington Northern METRA to the Stone Avenue Station.
